Before and after pictures from a client I worked with earlier in the week. In the first picture she genuinely felt that she was sat evenly through her seat bones and her body level. I worked with her on pelvis placement and imagery which in turn helped to correct her ribcage and head placement. We then did some work on the mat with the spikey balls and the following day she reported that her riding had greatly improved 👍 Being aware of where your body is in space (proprioception) allows you to have much more control of where you are placing it. 💎 Let me introduce myself! 💎 I have had a lot of new followers recently so I wanted to (re)introduce myself to you all. I am Ruth and this is my horse Ruby. I have been teaching Pilates since I began my training in October 2018. Following 8 months training I qualifed as a level 3 Matwork Pilates instructor in June 2019. In July 2019 I qualifed as Biomechanics Trainer and in October 2019 I qualified as an Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer ™. From April 2020 I will be a Franklin Method Equestrian Spine and Core Trainer 🤞 I first attended a Pilates class in 2011 following a riding lesson with Charlie Hutton. His words "you need to go to Pilates and establish where your pelvis is" really hit home. So I did and he was right! Last summer I decided I wanted to train as an Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer and so my journey to this point began. In a former life I was a Police Officer for 11 years and more recently I worked in Mental health for 3 years. I am passionate about helping people become happy, relaxed and confident in their bodies. Mix that with talking about horses until the cows come home is brilliant! Our classes at the studio are informal, suitable for all abilities and we have a good laugh 😁 Oh and you don't need to be a horse rider to attend either. I hope to see you all soon.
